Did you know that in normal and dry conditions, drivers should keep a 2 to 3 second following distance from the vehicle in front of them.

And in wet and slippery conditions, this following distance increases to between 4 and 5 seconds.

It is recommended that when stopping, you should be able to see the bottom of the tyres of the vehicle in front of you.
