What is Vitality Drive?

Discovery Insure is committed to creating a nation of great drivers and encourage good driving through their driving programme, Vitality Drive. Vitality Drive is Discovery Insure’s unique driver behaviour programme that rewards their clients for driving well, gives them access to a range of service and reward partners to help them become a better driver and stay safe on roads. As a Vitality Drive member, you get up to 20% discount on purchases at Tiger Wheel & Tyre.

Getting started at Tiger Wheel & Tyre

Collect and install your Vitality Drive sensor

A Tiger Wheel & Tyre technician will assist you with:

  • Downloading the Discovery Insure app if you haven’t done so already.
  • Registering on the Discovery Insure app.
  • Activating and linking your Vitality Drive Sensor to the app and placing the device
    in your vehicle.
  • Linking your Vitality Drive card to your plan to earn fuel cash back.

Note: If you need a replacement Vitality Drive card, you can pick one up at Tiger Wheel & Tyre.

You can also install the Crowd Search Sensor at Tiger Wheel & Tyre

Visit a Tiger Wheel & Tyre to get a Crowd Search device installed and hidden in your vehicle. The Crowd Search Sensor comes with enhanced stolen-vehicle recovery (SVR) at an additional monthly fee.
As a Vitality Drive member, you’ll get access to great rewards and safety features by installing your Vitality Drive Sensor and driving well, and earn Vitality Drive points up to 150 Vitality Drive points for passing a Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check to make sure your car or motorcycle is safe to drive and having an up-to-date service history. By passing the check, you’ll also qualify for a higher percentage of your fuel rewards spend back and earn more fuel rewards cash back each month.

Complete and pass your Tiger Wheel & Tyre annual multipoint check

Making sure your vehicle is safe to drive is an important part of being a great driver. Pass the Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check to make sure your vehicle meets essential road safety standards. The Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check is a set of tests done to assess the roadworthiness of your vehicle’s various safety functions, including: tyres, windscreen wipers, lights, indicators, hazards, seatbelts, steering, hooter and shocks. If you have a motorcycle, we’ll also check its general condition and for any missing parts. The check also makes sure that your vehicle’s service history is up to date.

The Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check costs R95 per vehicle. If you failed a check, it can be redone at no cost within 30 days; thereafter a re-check will cost a further R95. When you go for your Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check, you will need to take the Vitality Drive card, identity document or driving license of the insured vehicle’s primary driver with you. You will have to fill the details of the primary driver in on the Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check form. If you are the primary driver of more than one car, you only need to take one car to do the check.

 

What else can I get at Tiger Wheel & Tyre?

Tiger Wheel & Tyre Discounts

You get up to 20% off your Tiger Wheel & Tyre purchases, based on Vitality Drive status. The better you drive the more Vitality Drive points you earn and the higher your Vitality Drive status. The discount rewards structure is as follows:

 *The Vitality Drive discount is limited to a maximum purchase of R 5000 per transaction and, also limited to a total spend of R10 000 per month, irrespective of invoice value. No Split invoices allowed.

If Tiger Wheel & Tyre has reduced its prices nationwide, you will still get the up to 20% Vitality Drive discount. However, if there is an in-store promotion specific to a particular store, the Vitality Drive discount will not apply. The discount can be redeemed with any form of payment, excluding American Express cards, Diners Club cards, ABSA Rewards cards and UCount Rewards cards.

The discount does not apply to the Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check fee of R95 and may not be combined with any other discount or cash back offer from Tiger Wheel & Tyre.

Fund up to 100% of your new tyres using your Insure Funder Account (IFA)

As a Discovery Insure client with an active Vitality Drive programme, you can double your fuel cash back by having them paid into your Insure Funder Account (IFA). You can use your IFA to fund up to 100% of your new tyres from Tiger Wheel & Tyre at any time, based on your Vitality Drive status.

How to get your tyres fully funded using your Insure Funder Account

  1. Drive well and earn fuel cash back.
  2. Choose to double your fuel cash back by having it paid into your Insure Funder Account.
  3. Visit Tiger Wheel &Tyre to buy new tyres. You will get an initial discount of up to 20% based on your Vitality Drive status (as explained above).
  4. You can now choose to fund a portion of your remaining invoice using your Insure Funder Account based on your Vitality Drive status:

The portion of your invoice that can be funded using your IFA is limited to the balance in your IFA fund balance. The discount percentage used to fund your new tyres is determined by the latest Vitality Drive status of the primary driver of the car for which tyres are being purchased, at the time of purchase.

What is Vitality Drive for Business?

Vitality Drive for Business is a driver behaviour programme designed for businesses to help them improve the driving behaviour of all their drivers.

Using the latest telematics technology, Vitality Drive for Business measures and rewards good driving behaviour. Businesses can get up to 30% of their vehicle premiums back every month and drivers can get weekly Active Rewards for driving well.

This programme is founded on Discovery Insure’s shared-value model of insurance, which uses incentive-based insurance principles to encourage good driving behaviour. This reduces the number of accidents and results in actuarial savings and safer roads for all. These savings are then shared with clients to further incentivise good driving behaviour.

Clients can get up to 50% discount on any purchases at Tiger Wheel & Tyre

At Discovery Business Insurance, we understand the importance of making sure that your vehicles are safe to drive and always kept in the best condition. This helps to keep your drivers safe on the road and avoids interruptions to your business. To help you manage the costs of maintaining your vehicles, we have enhanced our Vitality Drive for Business rewards.

Vitality Drive for Business clients can now get up to 50% discount (limited to R5 000 maximum spend per vehicle, per transaction) on any purchase at Tiger Wheel & Tyre such as tyres, batteries and wiper blades, based on the company’s Vitality Drive status.

Terms and conditions:

  • To qualify for the discount, the client must have at least one vehicle on the Vitality Drive for Business programme and the vehicle details (including the vehicle registration number) must be loaded on the Vitality Drive for Business programme.
  • The discount percentage can only be applied to purchases relating to vehicles on the Vitality Drive for Business programme.
  • You must provide the registration number of the vehicle you are making purchases for, to the Tiger Wheel & Tyre agent at the time of purchase.
  • The discount percentage applies to the total invoice amount for purchases made at Tiger Wheel & Tyre, limited to a maximum spend of R5 000 per vehicle. This limit will apply per transaction.
  •  The discount applies to any purchases made at Tiger Wheel & Tyre such as tyres, batteries and wiper blades.
  • The discount will apply to all Tiger Wheel & Tyre nationwide promotions. However, the discount will not apply to any in-store promotions.
  • If it is less than a month since you joined Vitality Drive for Business (meaning you do not have a Vitality Drive status yet) you will get a default status of Blue. You will therefore qualify for a discount of 5%.
  • You will not receive a Vitality Drive for Business discount on purchases made with other discount/rewards cards.
  • Discovery Insure reserves the right to adjust the discount and/or spend limits at any time.
