Tiger Wheel & Tyre Welcomes World Record Adventurer Rainer Zietlow to South Africa
Midrand, 25 February 2026 – Tiger Wheel & Tyre is proud to welcome internationally acclaimed adventurer and multiple world record holder Rainer Zietlow to its Head Office in Midrand on 25 February 2026, as he passes through Johannesburg on his ambitious ID.Buzz World Tour.
Zietlow is currently undertaking a Guinness World Record attempt to visit more than 75 countries in a fully electric Volkswagen ID.Buzz. The African leg of the journey runs from Durban to Mombasa between 18 February and 20 March 2026, with Johannesburg scheduled as a key stop on 25 February.
Since setting off in June 2025, the ID.Buzz World Tour has already reached 50 countries, covering 175 days and more than 41 840 kilometres. The journey highlights the rapid advancement of electric mobility and the technology required to support it across continents.
Fitted to the ID.Buzz for the duration of the tour are Giti tyres, engineered to deliver durability, safety and efficiency in diverse and demanding conditions.
